Societe Generale signs the Racial Diversity and Inclusion Charter in Hong Kong
Societe Generale strengthens its commitment to promote diversity and inclusion in the workplace with the signature of the Racial Diversity and Inclusion Charter by the Hong Kong Equal Opportunities Commission.
This new pledge is another step forward in the Bank’s efforts to forge a more diverse and inclusive working environment, free of discrimination, for every employee to be themselves and thrive, regardless of their ethnicity, religion or cultural background.
“The nine goals of the Racial Diversity and Inclusion Charter are a reflection and continuity of our ambitions to diversity and inclusion, from recruitment to onboarding and promotion, including management, benefits and policies. Diversity is at the forefront of Societe Generale’s strategy for collective success. With 63 birth countries represented within our workforce in Asia Pacific, it is essential that we build an environment where one’s success is not limited by their cultural background. Not only diversity brings in creativity and innovation ensuring best services and products, it represents above all the diversity of our clients.” – Mukta Arya, Chief Human Resources Officer, Asia Pacific.
In accordance with the Charter’s goals, Societe Generale commits to respect, value and support racial equity by ensuring equal opportunities in the workplace for all ethnicities.
Beyond cultural diversity, Societe Generale embraces and defends gender equality, LGBT+ inclusion, and differently-abled inclusion at all levels of the organisation.
