Societe Generale launches lecture series on investment banking for students of Kyoto University

Committed to developing talents in the financial sector, Societe Generale is launching a lecture series in partnership with Kyoto University.

A number of executives from Societe Generale in Japan, including strategists, economists and product specialists, will deliver sessions to students of the Graduate School of Management, in a view to foster future leaders in financial services. Founded in 1897, Kyoto university is ranked 2nd amongst national universities in Japan with over 22,000 students from 10 faculties*.

Named “Inside Investment Banks: From Basics to Business Practices” the lecture series will offer knowledge and practice about different topics from the investment banking industry, including credit, derivatives, equities, interest rates, hedge funds and macroeconomics. A glimpse on what it is like working inside an investment bank, delivered from a team of experts.

We strongly believe the lectures will provide a source of inspiration, not only for students to develop their talents but also for our own teams.
