
Societe Generale appoints Stephanie Clement de Givry as Head of Global Banking and Advisory for Asia Pacific
Societe Generale announces the appointment of Stephanie Clement de Givry as Head of Global Banking and Advisory for Asia Pacific effective 17th January 2022, subject to regulatory approval.
Based in Hong Kong, Stephanie will report to Gaelle Olivier, CEO of Societe Generale for Asia Pacific, and Pierre Palmieri, Global Head of Banking and Advisory. She replaces Stephen Swift, who will retire.
In her new role, Stephanie will leverage her deep knowledge of the finance industry, as well as her strong expertise built over many years within the bank’s Energy and Natural Resources financing team, to further develop the Bank’s Global Banking and Advisory business in the Asia Pacific region. By offering a wide range of tailor-made and innovative financing solutions, spanning across structured financing, debt capital markets, syndication, securitisation as well as strategic advisory services to clients and bringing a positive impact on society.
Societe Generale has been actively growing its financing and advisory franchise in Asia Pacific over the past decades, including being a pioneer in supporting sustainable and positive impact finance.
Biography
Stephanie Clement de Givry has 25+ years of banking experience, mainly in project and structured finance, across various regions with a focus on the energy, natural resources and industries sectors. Stephanie joined Societe Generale in Mexico in 1996 from The Chase Manhattan and moved to Paris in 2000. She held various positions EMEA before moving to Asia where she spent 3 years in Shanghai and 5 years in Hong Kong from 2006 to 2014. For the last 6 years, she has been Global Head of Mining, Metals & Industries Finance where she led development of the existing franchise and the business line shift towards sustainability and energy transition including a change in scope to include industrial sectors supporting a low carbon future. Stephanie graduated from ESSEC Business School.
