Societe Generale China Won Green Development Demonstration Award from CIFTIS

We are pleased to announce that Societe Generale China’s green cash management product "ESG Loan & ESG Deposit" recently won the Green Development Demonstration award by The 2022 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS).

CIFTIS was successfully held in Beijing from August 31 to September 5, 2022. It is co-hosted by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce and the Beijing municipal government, which is a crucial platform for China to deepen opening-up, expand cooperation with the world.

The award recognizes Societe Generale's innovative green cash management products and its commitment to supporting the sustainable development of Chinese enterprises, financial institutions, and multinational enterprises in China. Societe Generale China is among the only few financial institutions being awarded with this prize. 

In 2021, Societe Generale Group was among the first banks to launch an integrated green deposit and loan liquidity management solution in China. The programme connects surplus capital in the real economy with green transformation projects that are in dire need of funds, enabling companies to align their financing strategies with sustainable objectives and supporting their growing demand for green finance.
