‘Hana Financial Investment Co., Ltd’ and ‘SG Securities Korea Co., Ltd’ signed Memorandum of understanding to expand further cooperation

Seoul, 11 May 2016 - Hana Financial Investment and SG Securities Korea, a subsidiary of the global French bank Societe Generale have entered into a Memorandum of understanding (MoU) on May 11th with the purpose of expanding collaboration in their asset management, derivatives and corporate investment banking activities.

  • Areas of cooperation range from  asset management and derivatives to corporate and investment banking
  • Partnership to fully leverage Hana Financial Group’s domestic presence and Societe Generale’s global network for mutual benefits
  • Reinforce cooperation on product development for the recently launched Individual Savings Account (ISA) scheme

One of the primary goals of the MOU is to collaborate and develop a broad range of financial products to cater to client needs in an environment of low economic growth and interest rates. The two firms aim to offer domestic investors a wider range of products by utilizing the scale of Hana Financial Group’s integrated asset management services as well as Societe Generale’s global network and expertise in developing a wide range of financial products.

With the signing of the MOU, Hana Financial Investment plans to offer a broader range of ISA products to suit client needs to diversify their investment. By partnering with Societe Generale, which has a strong track record in product innovation across global capital markets, Hana Financial Group is aiming to further solidify its lead in the ISA product market.
