CATALYST: Boosting start-ups in India

18/04/2016

CATALYST is a 10-week program offered to emerging or mature start-up companies in India, launched by Societe Generale for the first time.

The selected start-ups get to work on different themes based on business challenges, with guidance, coaching and mentoring from Societe Generale's subject matter experts.

The program, based in Bangalore, embodies collaboration and innovation. The four key themes of the program are: Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, Big Data/Data Visualization, Voice to Text Transcription and Client Sentiment Analysis.

With enriched interaction and work space, the CATALYST program is a great way to test, iterate and scale a product or solution with a real life scenario.

The program is run in partnership with ‘10,000 start-ups', an ambitious initiative by the Indian first IT industry body NASSCOM (the National Association of Software and Services Companies). NASSCOM aims to multiple the start-up ecosystem in India by ten. Its objective is to enable funding, acceleration, incubation and support to 10,000 technology start-ups in India over the next ten years.

Many companies have applied for the first edition of CATALYST. Societe Generale will review the applications and contact the shortlisted start-ups for further evaluation and discussion. The final list of start-ups will be announced on 25 April and the program will run between 9 May and 20 July 2016.
