The Citizen Commitment Time started this month!

Societe Generale employees in Italy, India, United-Kingdom and France have already started and they won’t stop there! Until the end of June, Pro Bono days, solidarity actions, sports challenges will be organized around the world for the benefit of NGOs!

Citizen Commitment Time

After the Citizen Commitment Week and the Citizen Commitment Games, this year the Citizen Commitment Time will be the highlight of Societe Generale’s solidarity actions. From late April to late June, employees from Societe Generale are invited to scratch their heads, break a sweat or simply make themselves available for organizations acting in favor of education or inclusion through sports and/or cultural activities.

Societe Generale Corporate Foundation for Solidarity

Since its creation in 2006, the Foundation has been active in the field of professional integration, especially in two main areas: helping young people to start their careers and tackling illiteracy. In 2015, the Societe Generale Corporate Foundation for Solidarity is widening its scope to include education. In particular, in 2015 and 2016, the Societe Generale Foundation has chosen to support charities that use sports and/or cultural activities to promote the integration of people in difficulty.

These actions take a wide variety of forms, adapted to the beneficiaries' needs. Career advice for young people, training, help in finding employment or obtaining a diploma, back-to-work projects and companies, programs using sport or culture to tackle failure to complete schooling, presenting the world of business, and guidance from volunteers are just some of the ways of effectively ensuring sustainable integration!

In a difficult economic context, now more than ever, the Foundation is involved in fighting against inequality. With an annual capital of over 2 million euros, the Foundation supports around a hundred projects every year. The Foundation is active in France and abroad, in the countries within Societe Generale's footprint.
